Southern Pecan Pie

This is a simple and delicious pecan pie recipe. If you have time use a homemade crust, otherwise a frozen one will do.

3 eggs
1/3 cup sugar 
Pinch salt
1 cup corn syrup 
1/3 cup melted butter 
1 cup pecan halves
9 inch unbaked pastry shell

Preheat oven to 350f. Beat eggs thoroughly with sugar. Add salt, corn syrup and melted butter; mix well. Add pecans; stir. Pour into unbaked pastry shell. Bake in oven for 45 to 50 minutes or until a knife inserted halfway between the outside and centre of the filling comes out clean; cool. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
